Tours for prospective Reception parents for 2024 intake

We would like to invite prospective Reception parents for September 2024 intake to come and visit our school.

The tours will be hosted by our Interim Headteacher, Mona Paalanen, and done in small groups. Each tour will last about 30 minutes, after which you will have an opportunity to ask questions about the school. 

A list of tour dates is below. To book a place, please email office@spinney.cambs.sch.uk. In your email, please state the dates you would be available, as each tour has limited availability. The school will confirm which tour you are booked on.

Admissions

The Spinney is an inclusive, happy, and welcoming primary school. We are very proud of the linguistic, social, ethnic, and cultural diversity of the families that we serve and we take an active role in our community.

The school usually admits children to our reception classes at the beginning of the school year in which they are five. The admissions procedure is handled directly by Cambridgeshire County Council, using their Admissions policy, over-subscription criteria and arrangements.

For reception admissions for September 2024 the local authority will be accepting applications from 11 September 2023 until 15 January 2024 and offers of places will be sent out on 16 April 2024.
