Volunteering at the Spinney
The Spinney Primary School welcomes adults from the community to volunteer at the Spinney.
All volunteers will undergo an Enhanced DBS and other checks as well as Volunteer induction, which covers aspects of Safeguarding and Whistleblowing.
Volunteers support the school to school delivering the curriculum. Some of the volunteering opportunities are listed below.
- Accompanying classes on trips
- Running after-school or lunchtime clubs
- Reading with children
- Supporting in events and activities in school
In addition to in school volunteers, there are other ways parents support the school community.
DIY- group: A group of volunteers who support the school with DIY projects in the school grounds.
Fundraising group: A group of volunteers who support fundraising with grant applications.
