The Spinney Primary School Wraparound Care Provision

The Spinney Wraparound Care offer provides care before and after school for Spinney pupils. We offer a safe, stimulating and happy environment where children are supervised by committed, professional Spinney staff.

Breakfast provision

In preparation for a busy school day, the Breakfast offer focuses on quieter activities such as Lego, arts and crafts, puzzles, toys and board games.

Provision starts at 8:00am and the children are offered a selection of cereal, toast, yoghurt and fruit. After breakfast, there is a range of activities on offer including board games, drawing, reading and construction play. 

After School provision

After School provision runs from the end of the school day and finishes at 6:00pm.

On arrival, children have a snack to keep them going. There are plenty of games and activities to keep everyone occupied, including jigsaws, board games and a 'comfy corner' with cushions to read and relax.

When weather permits, staff take children onto the playground for a run around and some fun and games.

Breakfast provision details

Food

We offer a healthy, balanced breakfast and a range of activities to make sure the children get the very best start to the day. Please note that not all options are available everyday;

• Cereals - Cornflakes, Rice Krispies and porridge
• Cooked food - baked beans and toast
• Drinks - milk or water
• Breads - crumpets, croissants, brioches and toast with a range of spreads
• Yoghurts
• Fruit selection

Please ensure your child arrives before 8:30am if you would like them to eat breakfast.

Procedures

• Registration forms should be submitted prior to attendance, with payment in full. Bookings are made via Arbor once registration forms have been returned. Please apply to the school office for registration forms.
• Drop-off is at the main school building entrance. Children should not arrive before 8am as they will not be supervised. Please do not leave your child unattended before this time.
• This provision operates term time only, excluding any Professional Training days (see our school term timetable here).
• Fees are payable in advance for each term.
• If your child is unable to attend a session, funds cannot unfortunately be reimbursed unless there are extenuating circumstances.

After School provision details

Food

We offer simple snacks at the start. These include:

• Sandwiches, wraps, crackers and bread sticks (ham, cheese, tuna, Marmite, humous, cucumber carrots, tomatoes and cheese spread)
• Drinks - milk, water
• Yoghurts
• Fruit selection

Procedures

• Registration forms should be submitted prior to attendance, with payment in full. Bookings are made via Arbor once registration forms have been returned. Please apply to the school office for registration forms.
• Collection is at the main school building entrance. Children may be collected at any time during the session.
• This provision operates term time only, excluding any Professional Training days (see our school term timetable here).
• Fees are payable in advance for each term.
• If your child is unable to attend a session, funds cannot unfortunately be reimbursed unless there are extenuating circumstances.
